I am very new to this blogging malarkey but am interested in learning better ways to teach physics and would welcome contact from anyone with ideas to share. I have been teaching for 10 years having previously been a policeman and a double glazing salesman. If I had stayed in the police I would be retired now! So was taking up teaching late in life a good idea? Would I recommend it to other? You bet I would. It is most satisfying even though all the pupils don’t always appreciate it at the time. I am a keen guitarist and play golf (handicap 9) and bowls (scratch).

The poker in the cherry tree was “implanted” in the tree circa 1950. The poker was nicked from a house in Coaltown of Balgonie to assist the perpetrators (my dad and his pals) to access the cherries. After gorging themselves on the cherries they could not remove the poker to return it to where it belonged. As you can see the poker is still embedded in the tree to this day. Meaningful posts to follow.
